Propecia and concerns in male fertility. Propecia ( Finasteride) does not need to be discontinued when considering fatherhood. It has been reported that this hair sparing medication has no efect on sperm therefore if one is taking it to prevent hair loss or to maintain new growth , it should be continued in circumstances when fatherhood is being considered.
